Dakota Havard (United States, 1995) is an artist from the American South receiving a B.F.A. in painting from The Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA in the spring of 2017. He employs a range of media including painting, installation, and video to ask the viewer to stop and be present through visuals of the altered state and references to spirituality through materials and imagery of religion, commodification, and mundanity. Havard has exhibited his work in various group and solo shows in Philadelphia, Savannah, and Orlando. Currently, Havard lives and works in Savannah, GA and is seeking residencies and internship opportunities in the Netherlands.
